After finding them online, I reached out to Jo to photograph my surprise proposal to my then-girlfriend (now fiancée!) & from the very beginning, they were an absolute dream to work with. We live out of state but were traveling to Seattle for the weekend, & Jo made the entire planning process seamless despite the distance. They were incredibly responsive, organized, personable, & thoughtful, which made coordinating such an important moment completely stress-free.
On the day of the proposal, Jo captured every emotion so beautifully while somehow remaining completely discreet. Afterward, they guided us through an engagement photoshoot that felt so natural & fun. Even one of us being a bit on the shy side, Jo made both of us feel comfortable, relaxed, & genuinely ourselves in front of the camera. Their warm, down-to-earth personality made it feel like we were spending time with a friend rather than someone we had just met.
The photos are absolutely stunning & are something we'll cherish for the rest of our lives. Jo has an incredible eye for capturing authentic moments, and you can truly feel the emotion in every image.
Not only is Jo an exceptionally talented photographer, but they're also kind, welcoming, professional, & an all-around wonderful human. What started as hiring a photographer has genuinely turned into a friendship & we're so grateful our paths crossed.
